Hi there! My Name is Teacher Judy. I earned a bachelor degree in Secondary Education major in English in Laguna University. I enjoy hiking, cooking, playing volleyball and collecting old coins and other memorabilia. I am an English teacher for more than 8 years now, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students of all levels master the language skills and concepts they need to prepare them for life and beyond, and I’d love to continue that path. I teach literature, writing, and reading comprehension to students. Over my eight years of teaching, I’ve managed to successfully increase my student’s reading and writing comprehension test scores every year for the last five years. In my pursuit of lifelong learning, I’ve made it a point to stay up to date on the most current teaching methods, including Cooperative Learning and Flipped Classroom. I’ve also earned TESOL certification, where I mastered concepts such as subject-specific pedagogy, language production, and theories of second language acquisition. Even with the challenges of the current educational landscape, the feeling of watching my students have that “aha” learning moment never gets old. I’m passionate about forging relationships with students that build a sense of confidence and enable them to grow as learners. I’m extremely enthusiastic about teaching and imparting knowledge to my students.
